Cardboard Regatta:
Calling all crews to the deck! KGRC’s 2nd Annual Cardboard Regatta will be held on Monday, Labor Day, Sept 5. Anchors aweigh at 4pm. There’s still time to sign up — click here to register. Be sure to review the rules so your vessel is pool-ready! (Click here for the rules.)
Dog Swim:
Bring your pup at 6:30 on Monday to let Fido take a dip. Once the pool closes and the lifeguards have cleared the pool and deck of human swimmers, the canine bunch can take to the water. Only bring your dog if it is properly vaccinated and “plays well with others.” Check out the complete rules here, where you can also print/sign the release form to get you and your doggo through the entrance and into the pool faster! Also, there will not be a lifeguard on duty so, of course, the swimming is just for the pups.
Once the gate is locked for the winter next week, the Board of Directors jumps right in to preparing for next year! This is a good time for you to reach out to the Directors with any ideas or suggestions for the club. It helps us have a realistic idea of what the membership wants. Please drop us a line here or leave a note in the Comment Box at the front desk.
Additionally, the Annual General Meeting (AGM) is being held soon after the closing date on September 21 at 7:00 pm. Hear about the “state of the pool”, future plans and elect new Board Members. Your participation and vote is important and imperative. A quorum is needed to elect the Board of Directors so if you are unable to join the actual meeting, regular members can vote by proxy. Please complete the proxy form here or complete a paper form at the front desk any time this weekend.
