Welcome to Summer 2024!
The 2024 Season is here and Opening Day is tomorrow! Welcome to all of our new members and welcome back to those who are returning. We have a fantastic season in store with a summer full of social activities, swim and dive team competitions and plenty of relaxing at the pool!
Thank you to all of you who came out for our Annual Member Work Day (Part 1 and 2). The club looks great with the gardening, cleaning, and preparation help from you, as well as the dedicated work all winter from the Board of Directors.
Please join your fellow members at the pool on Memorial Day for a holiday weekend event with snow cones from 1pm – 3pm. And join us for an early opening and a sweet treat on the last day of school, Wednesday, June 12th from 2-5 pm.
As we begin a new season there are always questions and we hope to answer them here. Please note the hyperlinks to the KGRC website, which should have just about all the information you need!
Is the water warm yet?

When can I swim?!
With high hopes that we will actually have warm weather, we’re all ready to jump in the water! The regular hours are on the KGRC Website. Please keep in mind that this is subject to change depending on weather and team activities. For weather related information, please subscribe to RainedOut and Twitter to get the latest updates. How do I check in when I arrive?
When you arrive please give the front desk staff your name and the staff will quickly be able to see your photo to verify your membership. Don’t forget to upload a photo to your membership account for each family member, and make sure everyone’s profile is current. Not only is this an easier check in process for everyone, but we believe it also provides a safer experience at the club.
If you want to bring a guest, you may purchase a Guest Pass through your account.
Please note: if your payment for the season is still pending, you will not be allowed entry to the club. Please contact membership@kentgardens.org with any questions.
Please be sure your entire family is familiar with the rules and regulations at the club by reading the KGRC Rules and Regulations.
What about the Swim & Dive Teams?
KGRC is extremely proud of our Swim & Dive Teams. This year the Dive team will compete in NVSL Division 2, and the swim team will compete in NVSL Division 3!! As part of the KGRC family, there is always room for you! Please note that you must be registered before practicing with the teams.
Swim: If you haven’t had a chance to register, please sign up HERE. Team practice begins May 20. Mini Dolphins group will begin practices June 13. Please contact Bethany and Lauren at swim@kentgardens.org with questions or for more information.
Dive: Come on out and join the team – no experience is necessary! Click HERE to register for the KGRC Dive Team. Practices begin May 20. Tell me about the parties!
Want to have a party at the pool? This year our reservation system has changed (we hope for the better) and you can reserve a party through your membership account! Log into your account, select “Reservation” -> “Make Reservation” and select “Party Rental”. Choose your preferred date and the time that works best for your family. Please check the box next to your email address to confirm your reservation and make the payment. Reminder: payment must be received to confirm reservation. Our social director will reach out to finalize your reservation. Please see the KGRC website for additional details!
KGRC loves to host parties too and you can count on them again this summer. In addition, we have some fun poolside games to enjoy that you can check out from the guard shack.
What about snacks?
The Snack Shack will be open and running this season with all your favorite treats! It will open beginning Saturday, May 25th for regular business. Continuing this year, the Snack Shack will not accept cash. We will accept credit cards, Apple Pay, and gift cards, including digital gift cards and physical gift cards. Both gift card options can be reloaded throughout the season. Please stop by the Snack Shack for more information on purchasing gift cards.
Looking for swim or dive lessons?
A list of our amazing Dolphin swim coaches offering lessons this year will be posted at the front desk next week (or email secretary@kgrc.org for a copy). Dive lessons with our senior Dolphin coaches can be arranged by contacting dive@kgrc.org. Schedules and payment are arranged with each individual coach. And of course, lessons are available for members of all ages.
Can my friends still join the club?
KGRC has a healthy waitlist this year and we will not be able to accommodate everyone on the list this year. August memberships will be offered as well as a chance to be on the waitlist for next summer.
I love KGRC! Can I help?
With the exception of our seasonal summer staff, KGRC is run by a volunteer Board of Directors and an army of seasonal volunteers for our swim team, dive team and social events. Whether you are new to the pool or a long-time volunteer looking to get more involved, we would love to hear from you. Please take a moment to express your interests on this sign-up sheet, and a Board Member will be in touch! We are particularly looking for volunteers interested in fundraising efforts, as well as support for KGRC’s popular social activities throughout the summer. Please join us in helping to make the pool fun for all!
