2022 Annual General Meeting

2022 Annual General Meeting

Please join us on Wednesday, January 26th at 7 p.m. for the Kent Gardens Recreation Club Annual General Meeting. The Board will discuss plans for 2022 and beyond, report on the Club's finances and facilities, and solicit input for the coming season.  Active members will also vote on a slate of candidates for the Board of Directors.

In light of the continuing COVID-19 pandemic, the meeting will once again be virtual, on the Zoom meeting platform.  Advance registration is required and we invite active members to REGISTER HERE for the meeting.  Please note that a Zoom account is not required to participate; the registration form will ask only for your name and email address.  The meeting invitation will indicate that the link opens at 6p.m., to allow time for the Board to set up; the meeting will begin at 7p.m.

As noted above, we will be voting on a slate of candidates to the Board of Directors.  KGRC presently has an 11-member Board, with 7 positions up for election this year.  We are incredibly grateful to outgoing Board Members Sarah Salerno and Jim Davis for their dedicated service to the Club, particularly as we navigated the transition to self-management through the pandemic. We look forward to continuing to see them and their families around the Club for many seasons to come!  The full candidate slate is as follows:

  • Lauren Braccia
  • Holly Cafer
  • Kara Horgan
  • Bethany Nguyen
  • Claudia Tielking
  • Bryan Goudie
  • Michael Wittman

Lauren, Holly, Kara, Bethany and Claudia will be returning for an additional term.  We are fortunate that members Bryan Goudie and Michael Wittman also have generously offered their time and abilities to the Board.  As always, we continue to welcome participation, assistance, and ideas from all members - both at AGM and throughout the year.

The following Board Members are completing the second year of their terms and are not up for election this year:

  • Caryn Margita
  • Will Shields
  • Meghan Thomas
  • Chris Wood

The Board is looking forward to an engaging and productive AGM and we hope to see you there!  If you are not able to attend, we invite you to submit your proxy HERE to help ensure that we have quorum to conduct the meeting.
